The Center for Non Harming Ministries is pleased to offer an entirely voluntary pledge of non harming. Non harming ministers are interested in widening the circle of compassion until none are outside its walls. So, our pledge includes acknowledging all of humanity, without exception. Non harming ministers cultivate a spirit of friendliness and welcome. Our active, involved and nonviolent position calls on the minister to actively engage with the work of shalom, keeping humanity from harm or injustice while living in a pure and holy way. Since all who are called, are called to heal, we base our pledge on the physician’s prayer, and include a background history of the Hippocratic oath and other physician’s prayers and oaths, as resources for ministers who want to delve deeper.
